mid term essay

Today in class we wrote our essay for the mid term. I think that I did pretty well. I wrote enough on my note card so that I knew everything that I wanted to say. I also made sure that my essay was well written and didn't rush through so I think that I will get a good grade on it.

essay writing day 2

During class, we were allowed to work on our essay for our midterm. This is what I wrote: During Human Geography this year, we have talked about different nations and their place with population and migration. Nations all over the world have different situations regarding population growth, decrease and migration. Migration and population growth can be because the economy is strong, there are little to no wars and there is good health care. Migration and population decrease can be because of the economy, war, low fertility rate, and little health care. All of these things are essential to life and if a few or even all of these things are missing, a country’s population and immigration will rapidly decrease.  Afghanistan is one example of a nation that has a decreasing population. Afghanistan has a high birth rate and a high death rate which causes a low rate of natural increase. The crude birth rate and crude death rate is high because of the health care. Afghanistan has very

demographic transition test day

Today we had our demographic transition test. I don't think that I did well on it. I think that I will probably get about an 83%. I did not know the examples of countries that were in stage five. I think that I only got one of those right. I think that I did well on the first page.

demographic transition review

Today in class we reviewed for the demographic transition test that we have on Monday. We went over some questions that might be on the test. While we were reviewing, I made sure that I was answering the questions in my head so that I could test myself. I think that I will do pretty well on this test because I got most of the answers right when we were reviewing. I know that for the test I will have to review what happens in the different stages. I don't know about those very much. As long as I study, I will be able to get an A on the test. I think that I will probably get about a 94%.

demographic transition day 3

Today in class we watched a video about demographic transition. We learned more about the four stages and we heard some of the vocabulary that we have been learning for the past few units. Some of the vocabulary is crude birth rate, crude death rate and rate of natural increase.  We also have a test on Monday. I don't know how I will do. I think that as long as I study and make sure that I know everything about the different stages of demographic transition, I should get a good grade.

demographic transition day 2

Today in class we went over the packet that we had to read yesterday during class. I highlighted a lot of the stuff that we went over and made sure that I had everything that we talked about today highlighted so that I knew what to study for the test. We also watched a video that helped us to understand everything about demographic transition and the five different stages. We also have a test on Monday on demographic transition. I don't know yet how much I am going to have to study but I think that this test will be pretty easy.

demographic transition

Today in class we learned about demographic transition. We had to read a packet of papers and highlight important details. Demographic transition is a process of change in a society's population from high crude birth and death rates and low rate of natural increase to a condition of low crude birth and death rates, low rate of natural increase, and higher total population. It is broken up into four stages. The first stage is low growth. This stage has a very high crude birth rate and crude death rate and a very low rate of natural increase. For most of history, countries were in the first stage but today, no country remains in stage one. Stage two is high growth. This stage has very high crude birth rate and rate of natural increase and a rapidly declining crude death rate. Europe and North America entered stage two after 1750 as a result of the Industrial Revolution, which involved major improvements in manufacturing goods and delivering them to market. Stage two of the demo
